Northwest Montana farmers say canola remains a marketable and reliable crop
Canola is a result of plant breeding that aimed to change the nutritional makeup of rapeseed, which has historically been used to make oil but wasn’t ideal for cooking due to its high amount of erucic acid, according to the Pacific Northwest Canola Association.
