Roadside tragedy highlights risks posed to construction workers

At about 3 a.m., June 4, a 25-year-old allegedly drove into a work zone at high speeds, hitting flagger Joseph Gove with his vehicle and then running over him, breaking his neck, back, jaw, collarbone and ribs, and lacerating his kidney and liver. The injuries landed Gove in the intensive care unit.
