Bigfork Middle School Benefit Concert

| December 3, 2004 1:00 AM

The fifth annual concert benefit for the Bigfork Middle School music department is Saturday at 6:30 p.m. at the Bigfork Center for the Performing Arts on Electric Avenue.

The performance follows the Bigfork Christmas parade.

The concert features: the folk, jazz and easy listening music of Lars Pointer and Teri Llovet; the folk sound of Hermina Harold; country and bluegrass by Blue Smoke; folk music by Deni Llovet; cello instrumentals by Lee Zimmerman; and original rock by Odyssey.

The concert does not have a holiday theme, but the show will close with Christmas songs.

Pointer, who is the concert organizer, said that the concert's musicians are donating their time for an important cause.

" We're putting our efforts together to support music in the school," he said. "It's a wonderful learning tool for kids at that age. It's great for kids to appreciate the arts."

Admission to the concert is free. Donations for Bigfork Middle School will be accepted.
