Caller makes threat about 2,000 pound bomb

Someone called Kalispell Regional Medical Center from a payphone and claimed to have delivered 2,000 pounds of explosives to the hospital. Kalispell police responded, but at last report, the hospital had not been blown to smithereens.

Skateboarders in the 1200 block of Fourth Avenue West set up a ramp in the street, which apparently was hazardous to traffic and to them. After speaking with an officer, the boarders agreed to remove the ramp.

A 28-year-old man was arrested for DUI, no insurance and running a red light after being pulled over in the Gateway West mall parking lot. An assault was reported at the Outlaw Inn.

A 17-year-old boy was caught trying to shoplift at the Sportsman Ski Haus.

A dog reportedly bit a postal carrier in the 500 block of Seventh Avenue West.
