Kalispell

Kalispell police heard from a woman who said a teenage boy with dark hair and dressed in a dark-colored hooded sweatshirt tried to snatch her purse away at Kalispell Center Mall. Later, someone matching that description managed to steal another woman's purse in the Rosauer's parking lot, but he didn't get very far - he was spotted at the nearby Aero Inn, and witnesses held him down until police arrived, recovered the stolen purse and arrested the juvenile.

Someone broke several windows on Meridian Avenue, including glass at a gas station and two other nearby businesses and cars parked at or near The Finish Line.

At Scotty's bar, someone heard a man calling for help out back, but couldn't see anyone. Police later located an injured man who was apparently the victim of an assault. There was a fight in the Fatt Boys bar parking lot, but no one wanted to press charges when police arrived.

Two men - described as "scrappy" looking and in their mid-20s, with one of them wearing a purple and black jester's hat - were reportedly harassing people in the Albertsons parking lot in a fruitless search for beer money.

A woman told police that two men were spitting on her car, which was parked on Main Street.
