Polson, Libby lead Northwestern A in all-state football picks

Northwestern A football champion Polson led the way with six all-state performers in balloting by league coaches. Runner-up Libby had five picks and Columbia Falls, the conference's other playoff participant, had four.
Polson's Jon Gallatin and Terry Lundeen were both two-way performers. Gallatin as an offensive guard and defensive end and Lundeen as a punter and outside linebacker.
Also honored for Polson were Kevin Owen, fullback, Joe Locke, kicker, Mac Gordon, inside linebacker, and Colton Woods, defensive cornerback.
Libby had one two-way performer in Travis Hjort, guard and defensive line. Other Loggers picked all-state are Justin Winn, tackle, George Mercer, wide receiver, Blaine Baker, outside linebacker, and Ryan Rios, inside linebacker.
Drew Perry, wide receiver and defensive cornerback, was a two-way performer picked from Columbia Falls. Also named all-state for the Wildcats were Jace Ladenburg, tight end, Kyle Rosenbaum, running back, and Kevin Sheppard, defensive line.
Whitefish and Bigfork both had one selection. Chris Hicks, wide receiver, was named from WHS and Mitchell Hill, quarterback, from BHS.
