Whitefish fifth, Libby sixth, C-Falls seventh

Four teams from Northwestern Montana occupy four slots in the first Class A Top 10 wrestling poll of the season.

Polson is ranked second, Whitefish fifth, Libby sixth and Columbia Falls seventh in balloting by coaches.

Sidney tops the rankings.

Libby and Whitefish both have nine individuals ranked while Columbia Falls has seven and Libby two.

Ryan Buck of Columbia Falls, 145 pounds, Kevin Owen of Polson, 189, and Travis Hjort of Libby, 215, top their respective weight classes.

Whitefish has two individuals ranked third, Matt Mangold at 189 and Troy Parker at heavyweight.

Whitefish has wrestlers ranked in nine of the 10 upper weights.

Columbia Falls, Polson and Whitefish will compete in the Butte Duals Friday and Saturday.

Libby is at the Superior Tournament on Saturday.
