Summit holds holiday open house today

The public will have free use of the facilities, including the swimming pool, throughout the day. (Certain restrictions will apply.)

Door prizes will be given away and a holiday craft bazaar will be open for shoppers. All are invited to come and enjoy Christmas music and holiday cheer.

Teens also are invited to come from 10 p.m. to midnight for Teen Night tonight.

Volunteer clinic planned at resort

The DREAM adaptive ski program holds its volunteer clinic from 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. today and from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday at the Outpost on Big Mountain.

The volunteer-based nonprofit program works with disabled individuals to teach them to ski.

Those interested in volunteering as "ski buddies" should bring skis and snowboards and plan to be on the snow both days.

Whitefish church sponsors toy drive

Holy Nativity Episcopal Church in Whitefish hosts a toy drive at 3 p.m. today for local charities and Toys for Tots.

Each child who brings a new or nearly new unwrapped toy is invited to a free magic show. Books, new art supplies and games, 12-inch dolls and new medium-size stuffed animals are needed.

Doors open at 2:30 p.m. with holiday carols and a sing-along before the performance.

Senior center hosts holiday bingo

North Valley Senior Center in Columbia Falls is having a holiday bingo party and potluck dinner today beginning at 5:30 p.m.

All are welcome to come and bring a favorite Christmas dish and recipe to share. The center is located at 205 Nucleus Ave.
