Kalispell police are investigating a burglary at Big John's saw shop late Sunday. A window was broken in the front of the business and someone grabbed a number chain saws and other items as an alarm sounded and then fled. Also under investigation is a theft of a computer and radios at the fairgrounds, where someone broke a window Friday night.

Kalispell police were called to East Center Street on Sunday when a man reported apples strewn his yard. The Apple Dumping Gang reportedly retaliated for a complaint about a barking dog. Officers found only a handful of fruit in the yard.

A man was arrested for obstructing an officer and disorderly conduct on Fifth Avenue West North.

The Christmas spirit eludes some vandals and thieves who regard outdoor decorations as a personal challenge to remove or destroy. Among the yuletide targets were a lighted deer with a moving head on West Colorado Street, decorations on Buttercup Loop and Buffalo Square Court, electric candy canes on 10th Street West and a reindeer that lights up on First Avenue East.

A window was smashed at a business on Eighth Avenue West North. Vehicles were broken into and relieved of CD players on West Arizona Street and Ninth Avenue West.

A vehicle reportedly stolen at the Finish Line bar was found damaged in a rollover on Rogers Lake Road.
