Sheila M. (Cavanaugh) Braun, 47

Sheila M. (Cavanaugh) Braun, 47, passed away on Tuesday, Dec. 14, 2004, after a courageous battle with cancer, and the family thanks Dr. Ward and his staff for their kind and loving care.

Sheila was born in Milwaukee, Wis., to Thomas and Sheila Cavanaugh, raised in Wauwatosa, Wis., and graduated from Stevens Point with a degree in forestry.

She had been a resident of Lincoln County since 1981. She married Gno Braun in 1986, and had worked in fire management for the Rexford Ranger District since 1984.

Sheila is survived by husband, Gno; and sons, Robert and Luke, of Trego; mother, Sheila Cavanaugh, of Wauwatosa; sister, Laurie Miller, and family of Green Bay, Wis.; sister, Martha Sachs, and family of Plainfield, Wis.; brother, Thomas Cavanaugh, and family of Whitewright, Texas; and many other family members.

She was preceded in death by her father, Thomas E. Cavanaugh, and daughter, Andrea Rose Braun.

Sheila loved her family, friends, and her work, and she was devoted to each. She influenced many and will be sincerely missed. Her honest and forthright nature was a rare and cherished blessing.

The family requests that in lieu of flowers donations be made to the Louise Burk Memorial, P.O. Box 532, Eureka, MT 59917, in memory of Sheila Braun.

Services will be at 2 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 20, at the Baptist church in Eureka, with a potluck reception following.
