| December 19, 2004 1:00 AM

H. Jean Moore, 80, passed away at North Valley Hospital on Thursday, Dec. 16, 2004, of a heart attack.

She was born on Jan. 6, 1924, in Alliance, Ohio, to Delvin Murphy and Marie Murphy Freshley. She was the third of eight children and was raised and attended school in Alliance.

During World War II, Jean worked for Taylor Craft, where she did test flights on the aircraft before shipment. Also during this time she met the love of her life, Harry J. Moore, at a dance while he was home on leave from the Merchant Marines. They married on Jan. 7, 1947, in Alliance, where they made their home and raised two children.

During her married life she held several jobs outside of the home but her greatest joy was supporting her husband and children in their various hobbies and careers.

While living in Alliance, Jean was active in the Science Hill Church of Christ and the Lexington Grange. In 1995, Jean and Harry moved to Montana to be near their children. While living here they made many dear friends and became part of the church family at Stillwater Church of Christ. During their short time here, they never forgot their friends and church family at Science Hill United Church of Christ in Alliance. Jean had a deep faith and love for her Lord and Savior and was anxious to go to her heavenly home.

Jean was preceded in death by her husband, Harry; her parents; and two brothers, Ernest and Delbert Murphy.

She leaves behind her children and grandsons, Ernie and Karin Moore of Whitefish, Pam and Dick Walker of Kalispell, Jason Walker of Bozeman and Corey Walker of Kalispell; her special nephew, Dan, and his wife, Tami Murphy, of Alliance; her brothers and sisters, Albert Murphy, Donald Murphy, Leoma Kuntze, Joan Tinker and Barbara Matthew, all of Alliance; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Interment will be at 2 p.m. at Glacier Memorial Gardens on Monday, Dec. 20, followed that evening by a memorial service at 7 p.m. at Stillwater Church of Christ. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to noon at Buffalo Hill Funeral Home.
