Kalispell police investigated a report that two boys who were seen pointing a pellet gun at a tree on Sixth Street East Friday. Officers counseled the boys and they agreed to put the gun away.
An employee reported her purse was stolen at Motel 6.
A resident of Airport Road said that someone left a 2002 newspaper on his step. The newspaper contained clippings about snipers and a local murder.
At about 3:23 a.m., a person calling police said a vehicle was spinning in the City Service parking lot. The caller heard a large crash but officers didn't find any damage.
Officers investigated a dispute involving a knife on Ponderosa Street. Officers discovered that a card game triggered the confrontation but a knife was not employed in a threatening manner.
Fighters were evicted from the Scoreboard near closing time Friday morning. Also at the Scoreboard, a vehicle was reported damaged.
A driver went on a hit-and-run spree late Thursday. The motorist apparently t-boned a white Toyota then drove to Columbia Falls and hit two more vehicles. The Montana Highway Patrol took over the investigation.
Kalispell police managed to capture a terrified, runaway child. It turns out the parent was preparing to take the child to the dentist.
