Golf course open for winter fun

| December 31, 2004 1:00 AM

With snow now covering Buffalo Hill Golf Course, cross-country skiing and sledding are available for the general public to enjoy.

Access to the golf course and plenty of parking are available through the main gates Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

On weekends and other times the main gate is not open, general public access is also available through the Main Street pedestrian gate along the Cameron seventh fairway. Parking is available in the Lawrence Park turn-off area.

Buffalo Hill Golf Club and the city of Kalispell encourage winter use of the facility and remind all users to be safe at all times. While enjoying winter activities, remember to keep a distance of at least 90 feet from the greens (The flagsticks will be up indicating a green) to prevent ice buildup and damage to greens.

If you witness any destructive or inappropriate activity, call 250-4553 for immediate assistance.

For additional information about safe areas to sled and ski on the golf course, please call Steve Dunfee, Buffalo Hill Golf Club general manager, at 756-4549.
