United Way nears goal

With just over a day to go in its annual campaign, United Way had raised 93 percent of its goal.

The local fund-raiser had brought in $743,404 as of Thursday morning. The goal is to raise $800,000 by the end of today.

United Way has 26 member agencies that receive 92 cents out of every dollar raised during the annual campaign.
