Laura E. Timmreck

Laura E. Timmreck, 101, passed away Friday, Nov. 5, 2004, in Billings.

Laura was born July 13, 1903, in Benson County, North Dakota, to Horace and Nellie (Brooks) Trowbridge. The family moved north of Williston, N.D., when Laura was 4. She attended school there also.

She married Marion Timmreck on Oct. 29, 1921, at Williston. They lived near Alexander, N.D., where they farmed and raised their children. They moved to Kalispell in 1964.

Marion passed away in 1985, and Laura moved to Billings in 1995. She enjoyed music, played the piano and needlecraft.

She had been a member of the First Church of the Nazarene and was in the auxiliary of the D.A.V.

Laura was preceded in death by her parents and husband; a daughter, Gloria; one son, Gerald; and by four brothers and one sister.

Laura is survived by six daughters, Lorna Casey of Billings, Betty Sheppard of Long Beach, Wash., Lois Timmreck of Kalispell, Mildred Lee of Williston, Nina Carson of Mason City, Iowa, and Marlene Keever of Epping, N.D.; two sons, Ronald Timmreck of Williston and Keith Timmreck of Minot, N.D.; 32 grandchildren, 64 great-grandchildren and many great-great-grandchildren and other relatives.

Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 9, at Buffalo Hill Funeral Home. Graveside services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 10 at Glacier Memorial Gardens.
