Ski Sale & Swap today at Whitefish armory

The Big Mountain Ski Club holds its annual Ski Sale & Swap today from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Whitefish Armory. Technicians will be on hand to help outfit you and the kids in good used ski and snowboard equipment and clothing.

Club memberships will also be sold with free ski lessons for the kids available upon purchase.

Take Second Street east in Whitefish and turn right on Armory Road.

Pick up antiques today, Sunday at fairgrounds

An Antiques and Collectibles Show is being held today and Sunday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Flathead County fairgrounds Expo building in Kalispell.

More than 20 vendors will be on hand. Everything from barn wood and an oldtime photograph studio to costume jewelry, Beanie Babies and antique rugs will be for sale. Admission is free.

Library book sale continues this weekend

The Friends of the Library annual book sale continues today from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., and from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday at the Kalispell Center Mall. Proceeds benefit the county library system.

Today's Harvest Dinner benefits fire department

The Somers/Lakeside Fire Department holds its annual Harvest Dinner from 4-8 p.m. today at the Somers Fire Hall. Turkey and all the trimmings will be included in the spread along with homemade pumpkin pie.

The cost for adults is $8, and $4 for children 6 to 12. Proceeds will benefit the fire department.

Swan Valley Fireman's Ball takes place tonight

The Swan Valley Emergency Services/Volunteer Fire Department plays host to its annual Fireman's Ball tonight from 7 p.m. to midnight at the Condon Community Center. The evening will include raffles, auctions, appetizers and music by Digital DJs.

Admission is $5 for singles or alumni and $15 for a family. All proceeds benefit the Swan Valley Fire Station No. 2 at Salmon Prairie.
