A man wearing a mask popularized by a series of horror movies robbed a Bigfork bowling alley Saturday night.

The man went into North Shore Bowling Center and Casino on Holt Drive and brandished a gun, according to Flathead County Sheriff's Office reports. He forced a female employee into a cooler, took money and left.

The woman was able to free herself after about 10 minutes and contacted authorities.

The man was described as being about 5 feet 8 inches tall and wore black clothing. He also reportedly was wearing a mask with an elongated caricature of a ghost's face, the same kind of mask featured in the "Scream" movie series.

Sheriff's detectives are investigating. There was no activity in the case to be reported Sunday, except that video surveillance cameras at the scene did not provide helpful footage.
