Tidyman's in Kalispell is hosting "Dinner on the Mayflower," an annual food drive for the Flathead Food Bank, this Friday and Saturday.

Contribute to 'Dinner on the Mayflower'

Bring your donations of canned or non-perishable food to the Tidyman's parking lot in Kalispell today from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The Flathead Food Bank is particularly in need of turkeys due to an increase in client numbers and the addition of the Martin City pantry. All Thanksgiving donations will be shared with the Kalispell, Evergreen, Columbia Falls and Bigfork pantries.

Book signing benefits Humane Society

Author Barry Schieber of Bigfork will be signing copies of his book about therapy dogs titled, "Nose to Nose," from 1-5 p.m. today at Borders Books in Kalispell. Meet Moritz the dog and learn of his special ability to help hospital patients across Montana.

A portion of proceeds will go to Humane Society of Northwest Montana.

Wake up 'Ol Man Winter at Mackinaw's Grill

Think snow and "Wake up Ol' Man Winter" at Blacktail Mountain's annual party today at Mackinaw's Grill in Somers.

Festivities begin at 5 p.m. Blacktail season pass photos will be taken 5-7 p.m. Raffle prizes include Rossignol equipment, ski and lodging packages, and adult season passes to Blacktail. Part of the proceeds will go to Blacktail Mountain's new ski club, Alpine Partners.

Enjoy live music from Shane Clouse and Stomping Ground from 8 p.m. until midnight with no cover charge.

Bigfork Art Walk today

Browse the art galleries and shops of Bigfork during the village's annual Holiday Art Walk today.

Hors d'oeuvres will be served at several locations from 3-7 p.m. Register for a chance to win a $100 gift certificate at any one of the 14 participating galleries.

The evening culminates with the public tree lighting ceremony at 7 p.m. at the Bigfork Inn.

Dinner benefits cancer patient Dave Cochrane

A benefit dinner and auction for cancer patient Dave Cochrane and his family gets under way at 4 p.m. at the Sportsman Club in Columbia Falls. All proceeds from the dinner and activities will go toward his medical bills and to help the family.

A Porteus pig roast dinner is $10 for adults and $5 for children. There will also be door prizes and a split the pot raffle during the evening.

The Sportsman Club is located at 624 Nucleus Ave.
