Head injury deliberate?
A boy went to Kalispell Regional Medical Center after he was shot in the head - on purpose, according to the Flathead County Sheriff's Office - with a pellet or BB gun in the 500 block of Conrad Drive.
Someone made off with a satellite dish in the 200 block of Antler Ridge Road. A resident of the 100 block of Third Avenue South in Hungry Horse complained that kids had been knocking on his door and running away, and throwing rocks at the house, on Friday and Saturday nights. A man dressed in black and wearing a mask was seen peeking in the windows of the Tall Pines Lounge around 12:30 a.m. Sunday.
A security guard reported finding a damaged newspaper machine and a smashed rocking chair in the parking lot of Big Mountain's Glacier Village. A 42-year-old man was arrested for partner assault in the 1800 block of Whalebone Road after a reportedly drunken confrontation with a woman.
After waking from a nap taken during a hunting trip to Big Creek in the North Fork, a man reported that the woman who'd accompanied him was missing and not answering her cell phone. Preparations for a search started, but the woman was found when an officer checked her residence.
On the Flathead River, across from Berne Park, an officer went to check on a pontoon boat that looked as though it had gotten there without its passenger. No search was necessary, though, because the boat's owner "came out of the brush and got in."
