Grace Elizabeth Haines, 91

Grace Elizabeth Haines, 91, died Saturday, Nov. 20, 2004, at Brendan House in Kalispell.

She was born Sept. 11, 1913, in San Diego.

Grace married Don Schrage and they adopted two sons as infants, David and Donnie. Her first husband, Don, passed away and Grace continued parenting as a single mom.

Grace left her home state of California to marry James H. "Jim" Haines. Grace and Jim celebrated 30 years together before Jim passed away on Oct. 17, 2001. Gracie chose to continue living in the Flathead as she said, "I can't imagine living anywhere else. This is my home."

Both sons preceded her in death. One niece in Texas survives Grace.

To honor Grace's wishes, no service will take place.
