Phyllis Bertelsen Hanson, 78

Phyllis Bertelsen Hanson, 78, longtime resident of Kalispell, died in Washington on Wednesday, Nov. 17, 2004.

Phyllis was born in North Dakota on May 25, 1926, to Martin and Kathleen Bertelsen, one of seven children.

On March 26, 1946, Phyllis married Levi Bernard Hanson.

Phyllis is survived by her husband, Bernard, in Washington; two sons, Mark Hanson, and Victor and Diana Hanson, all of Kalispell; two daughters, Carol Hanson of Bothell, Wash., and Cheryl Ann and Charles Ferree of Kalispell; five grandchildren, David Ferree, Molly Miller and Rochelle Hanson, all of Kalispell, William Martinson of Redmond, Wash., and Shannon Gobbato of Blaine, Wash.; brother, Neil Bertelsen and wife, Phyllis "Pete," of Crystal Lake and Kalispell; sister, Minrada Lemmons of California; sister-in-law, Shirley Bertelsen of Columbia Falls; and several nieces and nephews.

A graveside memorial service will be at 1 p.m. Monday, Nov. 29, at Mounty Vernon Cemetery in Mount Vernon, Wash. In case of inclement weather, the service iwll be moved to the Mount Vernon Funeral Home, 1122 S. Third St.
