Marjory Ann Dahlquist, 78

Marjory Ann Dahlquist, 78, died Wednesday, Oct. 6, 2004, at Kalispell Regional Medical Center. She was born Oct. 14, 1925, in Omaha, Neb., to Herbert and Gertrude (Houghton) McGavren.

Marjory attended and completed school at Missouri Valley High in Iowa; she also attended college for two additional years. She wrote advertising material and broadcasted it herself over a small radio station in eastern Nebraska.

She met and married her sweetheart Sigurd John Dahlquist in Billings on June 14, 1958. They moved to the Flathead around 1979, where she worked as a dispatcher for the Kalispell Sheriff's Department, retiring from there around 1986.

She shared her love with her husband of Glacier Park, going there several times a year, mostly on Sunday drives. Marjory and Sigurd were married for 46 years. Marjory enjoyed needlepoint in her earlier years, carving birds and other things out of wood, writing and listening to classical music.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and her husband, Sigurd, who recently passed away in December of 2003.

She is survived by a brother, Robert McGavren, of Bethlehem, Pa.; and many close friends.

There will be no services as per Marjory's request.
