International car parts deal suspect

The Flathead County Sheriff's Office heard from a man who became suspicious when a potential car parts customer wanted to buy the parts with someone else's credit card and have them shipped to Nigeria.

Someone reported a couple fighting in a car on Caroline Road, with the man reportedly trying to pull the woman out of the car. They left, but officers soon heard about them again - this time on Forest Acres, where the man was reportedly punching a windshield. The two were separated for the night.

A man tending to a bonfire on Blacktail Road said bullets from a neighbor's handgun were whizzing over his head. The neighbor said he was only engaged in target practice.

Mailboxes were smashed on Segiah Way and Foys Lake Road. Someone stole a jewelry box from a house in the 2000 block of Blacktail Road. A woman removing her belongings from a former residence on Christopher Court complained that someone had cut them up with a knife.

Officers had to deal with four teenagers who were playing on the roof of what will be Conlin's Furniture in Evergreen. Two kids were reportedly urinating on the side of a woman's house on Rock Drive. In the 2800 block of Middle Road, kids caused trouble by throwing rocks at a neighbor's car and child.

While moving a dead deer off the road on U.S. 93 near Juniper Bay, a man discovered an injured deer in the roadside ditch. That deer was dispatched.

A woman called the sheriff's office to report that two drunk men had assaulted her husband in Martin City. Officers tracked down a vehicle matching the description of the one driven by the assailants, and arrested the driver for DUI.
