CORA AGNES ORNDORFF, 89

Cora Orndorff, 89, "went to be with Jesus" on Thursday, Oct. 14, 2004, at the Immanuel Lutheran Home in Kalispell from congestive heart failure.

Cora was born Dec. 23, 1914, in Pisgah, Md., to Harry and Mary Rees. She was one of eight children.

She met Bud Orndorff at a Methodist Church Halloween party in October

1937 and they were married Oct. 1, 1938, in Pisgah, Md. They moved between Maryland and Montana three times before settling down in Columbia Falls.

She will be remembered as a great cook, serving Bud's home-grown vegetables and wild meat from his hunting trips that fed a large household.

She was preceded in death by her parents, three sisters, two brothers, and two sons, Alan and Paul.

She is survived by her husband, Bud - they had just celebrated their 66th wedding anniversary; two brothers, David and Harry; three sons and their wives, Gary and Carole Orndorff of Missoula, Brian and Darlene Orndorff of Kalispell, and Jan and Janet Orndorff of Florence; and one daughter and husband, Vicki and Ron Lamoreaux of Echo Lake.

She had many grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. Monday, Oct. 18, at the Columbia Mortuary in Columbia Falls.

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 19, at the Columbia Mortuary in Columbia Falls.
