Flathead County Sheriff's Office reminds hunters and other outdoorsmen to let someone know where they're going before they head for the hills. A search ended successfully Monday for a 50-year-old man whose brother thought he had gone hunting in Sanders County or maybe around Payola Creek in Flathead County. Tom Snyder of Flathead County Sheriff's Office went to Thompson River Road, in Lincoln County, where the man was found safe Monday afternoon.

Four deputies joined in the search for a missing 5-year-old boy on West Reserve Drive before midnight Sunday, after a mother put him to bed and then found him missing 20 minutes later. A half hour later, the boy was found sleeping beneath an ottoman in the house.

For two nights in a row, someone has driven over a lawn, throwing rocks and dirt on a new house at Solberg Court.

Threatening calls were reported by a business on East Reserve Drive. A deputy talked to the caller and determined there were no threats made; the caller agreed to stay off the phone to the business.

More phone threats were reported at North Hilltop Road, where the gist of the calls was, "I'm going to get you," with some unsavory language. A deputy talked to everyone and got it resolved.

Domestic problems included an event on Saki Lane near Columbia Falls, where a woman said a man choked her and slammed the door in her face. He was arrested. Shortly afterward, a man said his girlfriend wouldn't leave and was becoming violent. When officers arrived two minutes later, they found everything calm and the unhappy couple separated. Minutes after that, at about 2:30 a.m., a man reported that his wife's ex-husband had showed up and shot three times at the ground to scare the Badrock Drive resident. The ex-husband left before officers arrived.

A man who was evicted from a home on Foothills Road would not let movers go into the home and so a deputy took him to jail.

Windows were smashed out of a truck near Marias Pass.

Someone wanted the sign that says "Aztec Mechanical" and took it from where it belongs on U.S. 93. Also missing are two signs about the history of the Swan River bridge.

That dog on Montclair has been barking for at least a year now, according to a neighbor. A Pomeranian that was attacked by dogs in Hungry Horse was taken to a veterinarian.
