Shelley Cureau Cole, 44

Shelley Cureau Cole, 44, of Columbia Falls, died of a long battle with cancer Sunday, Oct. 24, 2004, at Brendan House in Kalispell.

She was born March 5, 1960, to John P. and Lucy Cureau in Atlanta, Ga. Shelley attended Libby High School and graduated in 1978. During high school she worked as a cook at Henry's in Libby, and after graduation, she worked for a short time at St. Regis Paper Company.

She attended Salish Kootenai College for her registered nursing degree. Following graduation she continued her profession at the Kalispell Regional Medical Center for about 13 years.

Shelley was an avid outdoors person, loving fishing, hunting, swimming, and also cooked for an outfitter in the Bob Marshall during vacation.

She loved music, cooking, sewing, artwork and gardening.

She is survived by her two daughters, Kelley and Sarah of Columbia Falls; her parents; four brothers, Carlton, Eric, Curtis and Paul; also several nieces and nephews.

Memorial services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 30, at Columbia Mortuary in Columbia Falls. A reception will follow the service at the North Valley Eagles in Columbia Falls.
