Isabelle Johnston Pasquale, 78

Isabelle Johnston Pasquale, 78, passed away peacefully while in the tender care of hospice nurses at Heritage Place in Kalispell, on Thursday, Oct. 28, 2004.

Born in Philadelphia, on Nov. 27, 1926, to Frances and Thomas Johnston shortly after they arrived from Ireland, she graduated from Temple University in 1948, where she was a championship swimmer.

She married George James Pasquale in 1949. Her beloved husband preceded her in death in 1991.

In 1962, she became a physical education teacher at South Philadelphia High School where she remained until her retirement in the late '80s. She was a well-read woman of exceptional taste, a great storyteller, and possessed a terrific sense of humor. She was gracious and considerate to all around her and was known for her warm hospitality.

She is survived by her two daughters and their families, Sandra Pasquale Nogal and her husband, Stephen, of Kalispell, Linda Pasquale Crum and her husband, Jim, of Houston, Texas, and their sons, Buck, Andy and Jake.

In lieu of services and flowers, the family suggests a donation to your favorite charity in her memory.

William J. "Bill" Skranak, 79

William J. "Bill" Skranak, 79, formerly of Libby, died Wednesday, Oct. 27, 2004, at the Immanuel Lutheran Home in Kalispell.

He was born at Bonners Ferry, Idaho, on July 16,

1925, to Medhadej "Mike" Skranak and Frances Mary Bobek Skranak. He came to Libby shortly thereafter where he was raised and educated; he served with the United States Army

during the Korean Conflict, returning to Libby following his honorable discharge.

Bill, along with his brothers, Henry and Frank, had owned and operated Skranak Brothers Construction Company for many years in Libby.

He married Lorraine Ryan on June 9, 1966, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Libby. In 1970, he and Lorraine moved to

the Flathead Valley, residing in Whitefish. Bill was employed by the National Park Service at Glacier National Park until his retirement.

His wife Lorraine preceded him in death in 1984. He remained in Whitefish until moving to Kalispell in 1987. He was also preceded in death by brothers, Frank, George, Charles and Henry, and a sister, Irene.

Survivors include nieces and nephews, Mary Iverson of Kalispell, Jim Skranak of St. Maries, Idaho, Allen Skranak of Arlington, Wash., David Skranak of Eureka, Duane

Skranak of Libby, Caroline Treadway of Columbia Falls, and Mike Skranak of Pinehurst, Idaho.

Graveside services with military honors will be 11 a.m. Monday at the City of Libby Cemetery under the direction of Nelson & Vial Funeral Home.
