Dasen bond change approved

A minor change in the property bond posted for Dick Dasen Sr. was recently approved by a judge.

Dasen, accused of prostitution crimes, asked for permission to sell a 10-acre tract of his land. The tract is included in the property Dasen posted as bond after he was charged in February.

Dasen's bond was set at $50,000. He posted his home and acreage, valued at $600,000.

Even with the 10 acres separated, the property that Dasen and his wife posted "will exceed twice the value of the amount of bond," according to his request.

District Judge Stewart Stadler agreed to let Dasen sell the property.

Dasen is reportedly living in Arizona, free on the bond, while awaiting trial in January.

He is charged with four felonies - sexual intercourse without consent involving a 15-year-old girl, aggravated promotion of prostitution, promotion of prostitution, and sexual abuse of children.

He is accused of paying millions of dollars to scores of women and girls for sex over the past 20 years.
