Ronan downs Bigfork

RONAN - Ronan evened its Class A volleyball league mark at 1-1 Tuesday with a 25-21, 25-22, 25-20 triumph over Bigfork.

Ronan had three players get eight kills in the match - Kira Crenshaw, Cambrie Starkel and Desiree Krell. The Maidens had 40 in the match to just 17 for Bigfork.

"We had a real balanced attack," said Ronan coach Fred Skogen.

"We had kids step up and hit the ball well. We're pleased with that."

Ronan jumped out to early leads in the first two games, but had to rally from an 8-2 deficit to win the finale.

"We had our opportunities," said Bigfork coach Yvonne Peck.

"We didn't execute."

Ronan, 1-1 and 2-1 overall, hosts Stevensville on Saturday. Bigfork, 0-1 and 2-1, plays at Columbia Falls on Sept. 21.
