David Benjamin Jackson, 68

David Benjamin Jackson, 68, "was taken home" on Sept. 15, 2004.

He was born April 20, 1936, in Frazer. He lived in the Flathead for most of his life, but spent his last days in Seymour, Tenn.

He is survived by his brothers and sisters, Della Finch, Jim Jackson, Tom Jackson, Rachel Jackson and Bee Jackson; and by his children, Sherry Mellem, Kelly Jackson, Maybelle McGuigan, Suzanne Roberts, Michael Jackson, David Jackson; and a stepdaughter, Jessica Rowe. He has 18 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

He loved the outdoors, fishing and hunting. He was an animal lover. He was known as "Grandpa Chips" by his grandchildren because he always gave them special chips when they would come to see him.

There will be a memorial held for him at 4 p.m. Sept. 25, at Christian Life Fellowship, 5600 U.S. 93 S., Whitefish.
