George Francis Antonovich, 80

George Francis Antonovich died March 31, 2005, at the age of 80. He was born Jan. 14, 1925, in Butte.

He lived his entire life in Montana between Butte and Livingston. His profession was a locomotive engineer with the Northern Pacific and Burlington Northern Railroad for 42 years.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 37 years, Nancy Marie (Comba); parents Catherine "Katie" Flanick and Jack Antonovich; sisters, Ann Fortune, Kay Arko, May Shagina and Josephine Antonovich; and brothers Andrew, John "Kelly" and Steve Antonovich.

He is survived by his four children and their families, Georgia and Ray Pearson of Belgrade, Frank and Sally Antonovich of Vancouver, Wash., Jerry Antonovich of Belgrade, and Lori and Mike Morgan of Belgrade; three sisters, Margaret Levine of Vancouver, British Columbia, Emma Farmer of Spanaway, Wash., and Evelyn Blaskovich of Anaconda. In addition to immediate family, George is survived by eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, April 6, at Duggan-Dolan Funeral Home in Butte, with burial of the urn following the service at Holy Cross cemetery.
