Disturbances required a lot of attention from Flathead County Sheriff's Office over the weekend. A couple's dispute on Emerald Drive erupted at about 1 a.m. Sunday when a woman reportedly yelled at a man for not putting dishes in the dishwasher right. They separated for the night.
On Welf Lane, a man admitted ransacking a house. He said he went out to buy a 7-Up and when he returned, his wallet was not in a dresser drawer where he left it and $36 was missing, hence the ransacking.
On U.S. 2 East at 4 a.m., a woman complained that a man bounced a two-liter bottle off her hip and tried to suffocate her. They also separated for the night. The same strategy was used for people involved in a disturbance on Wagner Lane.
On Batavia Lane, the friction was between neighbors where there were allegations of yelling, rock throwing, and truck denting.
Harassing calls were reported on Berne Road. An unwelcome man was reported in a house on South Woodland Drive.
A woman found lying in the road on Montana 35 by Bigfork said she'd been assaulted twice. Witnesses suspected alcohol was involved. Bigfork ambulance arrived to help while deputies sorted it out.
On the Swan highway, $600 worth of video games were stolen and $1,000 worth of damage was done to windows. The resident suspects teenage culprits. A window was smashed at Hot Wheels Auto Sales and vandalism was reported to a house under construction on Swan Hill Drive.
Disturbances were reported at Birch Grove Drive, on Pleasant Valley Road, on U.S. 2 West, and on U.S. 93 where loud music at 2 a.m. resulted in a disorderly conduct charge.
A brief but high-speed pursuit north from Somers at 1:30 a.m. resulted in a driver being charged with DUI, reckless driving, and speeding. His car was towed because of two flat tires.
The two men seen urinating and smoking at Smith Valley School were gone when officers arrived on Sunday.
A woman believes her purse was stolen either from her house or at church.
