Kindergarten roundup days continue

Kindergarten Roundup days continue across the county.

The Flathead Special Education Cooperative and the school districts of Evergreen, Bigfork and Helena Flats each year team up to provide the kindergarten readiness and registration services in more than a dozen schools across the Flathead.

Children who will be 5 on or before Sept. 10 may register for kindergarten classes that start in the fall.

Parents should bring their children for the screening, along with their birth certificates and immunization records.

Kindergarten Roundup is different from Child Find, which typically is held the first Friday in October and the second Friday in January. Parents who have concerns about their child's development may want to take part in that.
