Larry L. Green, 62
Larry L. Green "entered into Heaven" on April 14, 2005 at his home at the age of 62.
He was born May 20, 1942, to Gordon and Thelma (Lenon) Green in Kalispell.
After attending schools in Columbia Falls, he joined the Army and served in Vietnam. Upon returning, he worked for the railroad until 1971 when he purchased the Dam Town Tavern in Hungry Horse. Larry also had several used car lots in the area over the years, retiring from that business due to ill health.
Larry was married to Lynnette Strickland on Aug. 13, 1982, and they have two daughters, Lacey, who is a senior at the University of Montana, and Lynsey, who is a senior at Columbia Falls High School.
Larry was preceded in death by his parents, Gordon and Thelma Green.
He is survived by his wife, Lynnette, daughters, Lacey and Lynsey Green, and Tammy Woody of Columbia Falls, and Roxy Erdman of Kalispell; a son, Rodney Green, of Kalispell; a sister, Laura and husband, Buck Djonne; brothers, Richard and wife, Karen, John and wife, Debbie, and Terry and wife, Deanna, of Columbia Falls; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Larry enjoyed his entire family, young and old, camping at Dickey Lake, boating, fishing and hunting. His quick wit and fantastic sense of humor will be greatly missed. "May he rest safely in Heaven with Jesus, as well as with his family and friends. We will always be thankful for the influence he had on so many of us. Enjoy your reward for all the good things you did while you were with us. We love you and miss you, but you will never be forgotten."
A memorial service will be held 1 p.m. Monday, April 18, at the Columbia Mortuary in Columbia Falls. Rev. Howard Neckels will officiate. Inurnment will follow the service at Woodlawn Cemetery with Pastor David Jones officiating.
