A report of "stuff on the highway" on Montana 35 Saturday afternoon turned out to be the right stuff for Flathead County sheriff's deputies who made sure that the spilled stuff 'd1 which turned out to be stuffed animals 'd1 was carefully stuffed back into the offending vehicle.

The suspicious circumstances reported Saturday night on First Avenue South in Hungry Horse that involved a license plate switch. The stolen plates, however, had expired two years previously. This apparently did not trouble the thief, who took off in the vehicle before deputies arrived.

A call was made to the sheriff's Office Saturday night about a man walking from Troy to Kalispell, who is said to be very anti-government.

An early morning report of a howling dog was made by residents of Nicholson Drive, who claimed that five non-stop hours of barking was torture, pure and simple. Dog was taken inside.
