Marcene A. Iverson, 67, of Great Falls, formerly of Kalispell, a retired bookkeeper, died of a pulmonary embolism at her home on Saturday morning, April 16, 2005.

Cremation will take place and a memorial service will be held at a later date at the First English Lutheran Church.

Marcene is survived by three nieces and their families in California as well as several cousins and a great many friends in Great Falls.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother.

She was born on Nov. 17, 1937, in Kalispell to Albert and Hilda (Thiede) Iverson and attended schools in Kalispell. She later graduated from the Kinmon Business School in Spokane.

Marcene worked as a bookkeeper and legal secretary in Kalispell and Salinas, Calif., before moving to Great Falls in 1975. She retired from the Cogswell agency in 1998.

She was the treasurer for the 706 Artist Guild and was also a member of the First English Lutheran Church and worked with its helping hands program. She enjoyed knitting, quilting and golf.
