Bulldogs move to 4-0 with 4-3 victory over Ronan

WHITEFISH - Amanda Joy's RBI flyout scored Makayla Peck in the bottom half of the sixth inning as Whitefish slipped past Ronan 4-3 Tuesday to remain unbeaten on the Class A softball season.

Whitefish led 3-1 after three innings thanks to a three-run third inning.

Alana Morris tripled in Brandy Clarke, who led off with a single.

Kalini Morris then singled in Alana Morris.

Katie Hodges drove in the final run in the inning with

a flyout.

Whitefish won despite commiting five errors.

"We played hard, but little things are still haunting us a little bit," said Whitefish coach Aaron Phillips.

"Couldn't finish plays, got a little lackadaisical out there."

Still, it was enough to move to 4-0 (league and overall) on the season.

Whitefish had just six hits in the contest with Alana Morris and Peck both getting two apiece.

Whitefish stranded two runners in the first inning and six throughout the contest.

Ronan tallied one run in the first, fourth and seventh innings.

Whitefish plays three times Friday at the Frenchtown Invitational - 10 a.m. vs. Anaconda; 2 p.m. vs. Frenchtown JV; and 4 p.m. vs. Stevensville.
