Kalispell Police

A man called Kalispell Police Department Tuesday night to say someone had kicked open the back door of his house. He was having dinner at a restaurant, he said, but hoped that afterwards, an officer would go to the house and make sure it was safe, as previously, a man had hidden inside and attacked him. No one was found lurking in the home.

A custody dispute was reported on Liberty Street. A domestic dispute was reported at Rosauer's, but the couple was gone when officers arrived.

Officers talked to youths on motorized scooters at Peterson School about how it's illegal to do that.

Fighting girls reported at the mall could not be found. Smoking girls near the high school were cited.

A man found sleeping near the mailboxes at the post office was belligerent, according to someone who wanted him moved. A woman found laying on the boulevard on Fifth Avenue West was charged with possession of dangerous drugs.

For the past two days, a very young girl was seen wandering in the neighborhood near Buttercup Loop, a caller said. When officers arrived, they found her babysitter asleep and had a talk with her.

A counterfeit $50 bill was reported at the Bulldog. A CD player was stolen from a vehicle on Seventh Avenue West.
