Paul V. Ward, 80

Paul V. Ward, 80, passed away on Sunday, April 24, 2005, at Kalispell Regional Medical Center in Kalispell.

He was born Dec.19, 1924, in Greenwood, Ark., the son of T. F. ³Ardie² and Tavie (Elmore) Ward. He moved with his family to Montana in 1934. He attended until the 11th grade at Lone Pine School.

He entered the U.S. Navy in 1943 and served in the Asiatic Pacific Theater and was discharged in 1946. Following his discharge, he married Virginia Seager and they had two daughters. They later divorced.

In 1967 he married Linda Bergmann. They celebrated their 38th anniversary on April 1, 2005. He worked at Kalispell Lumber for a number of years, and then later went to work for Stoltze Land and Lumber where he worked for the next 25 years until his retirement.

He enjoyed the outdoors where he was an avid hunter and fisherman.

He was a longtime member of the Kalispell Eagles and Moose lodges.

He is survived by his wife, Linda Ward, of Kalispell; and his two daughters, Paula Forrest and her husband, Joe, of Eureka, and Twila LaBoube and husband, John, of Mead, Wash.; five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren; a sister, Wanda Sevier and her husband, Bob, of Kalispell; and numerous other relatives in Arkansas and Oklahoma; and ³also his dog Buddy.²

A memorial service for Paul V. Ward will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, May 18, at the Kalispell Eagles Lodge.

The family suggests memorials be given in his name to Hospice, Home Health Options, 175 Commons Loop, Ste. 100, Kalispell, MT 59901.
