Ellen Margueritta Loos Giesey, 92, passed away at home on the family farm Tuesday, April 26, 2005, in Kalispell.

She was born on May 14, 1912, at Minda, Alberta, one of 13 children born to Frank and Edla (Badie) Loos.

Ellen married Clifford Giesey on Oct. 13, 1932, in Polson. They owned and operated a dairy farm in Smith Valley for over 50 years. They then farmed and raised beef cattle until 2000.

She always looked forward to family picnics. Ellen absolutely loved having her grandchildren come to see her and the love they brought was deeply cherished. "What a wonderful Mom."

Ellen was a longtime member of the "Living Church of God."

Ellen was preceded in death by her parents and 12 brothers and sisters.

She is survived by her husband, Clifford Charles Giesey; two sons, Elmer and wife, Betty, of Rapid City, S.D., and Ted and wife, Beverly, of Marion; and one daughter, Alice Gleason and husband, Larry, of Ronan; 13 grandchildren, 37 great-grandchildren and 11 great-great grandchildren.

Memorial services for Ellen will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, April 30, in the Johnson Mortuary Chapel with Roc Corbett officiating.
