Charles E. Decker, 62
Charles E. Decker, 62, passed away Sunday, July 24, 2005, at Harborview Medical Center in Seattle, of multiple brain aneurysms.
Charlie was born July 9, 1943, in Spokane to Leo J. Decker and Thelma V. (Bowen) Decker. Charlie grew up in Spokane and graduated in LaMont, Wash.
He married Linda J. Piper in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho, on Aug. 30, 1980. Charlie and Linda lived in Anchorage, Alaska, and started their family of six.
Charlie owned his own drywall company in Alaska for 17 years and then resided in Post Falls, Idaho, for the next 17 years with his family, and in Kalispell off and on for the past five years.
Charlie hung drywall most of his life and considered himself a carpenter of all trades. Most of all Charlie just loved "sheetrockinit." Charlie loved the Lord, Jesus Christ and loved to be with his family and extended family of friends.
Charlie was preceded in death by his parents, Leo and Thelma Decker, and his sister, Alice Cunningham.
Charlie is survived by his wife of 26 years, Linda Decker; son, Joshua and Leo Decker; daughters, Rachel, Rebekah and Toni Decker; and daughter, Sarah Prewitt; his brother, Jim Decker; a sister, Mary Lee Deerfield; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Memorial services for Charlie will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 6, at Real Life Ministries in Post Falls. Paster Bill Putman will be officiating. Real Life Ministries is located at 1866 Cecil Road.
Just as in Charlie's life, home and heart, everyone is welcome.
