The Flathead County Sheriff's Office is skeptical of a man's report Thursday that someone broke into his home near Columbia Falls, broke his wife's legs and stole prescription drugs. The man reported the same thing Wednesday and had no memory of it.

On Jellison Road, a renter complained that his landlord keeps coming into his home when he's not there and cutting down things he is trying to grow. A deputy found that the landlord is cutting down weeds.

A rape report is under investigation. So is a domestic assault reported by the friend of a woman who is too afraid of repercussions to contact officers herself.

A deputy counseled people in a dispute on West Cottonwood Drive. Disturbances were reported on Terrace Drive, at Foy's Lake and on Kila Road, where the rider of a noisy dirt bike was persuaded to walk it home, rather than wake an entire neighborhood at 4:30 a.m.

A man threatened a bartender in Hungry Horse when she wouldn't serve him. An eviction caused problems on Stoner Creek Road. A man threatened a woman on Maple Road. An assault at Forest Acres involved a child.

On Sunset Drive, a parent called after a 51-year-old man in Maryland continued to call the resident's 14-year-old daughter after meeting her on the Internet.

An aluminum boat was stolen at Lake Blaine. A theft was reported on Whitefish Stage Road.

A break-in was reported at Heads Up Tobacco on U.S. 2. A break-in of a vehicle was reported at Kari Dodge.

The property on U.S. 93 near Lakeside is posted against trespassers, but campers set up tents there anyway.

A man was arrested for drug possession on West Reserve Drive. Ditto at Pro-Clean. A woman was arrested after a dust-up at Platt Electric on U.S. 2.

A deputy talked to people who have been shooting on Star Meadows Road after complaints by two residents there.

On Appleway Drive, a car was high-centered on railroad tracks. A tool box landed on U.S. 93 near Raceway Park.
