A man was in critical condition with head injuries Thursday after he hit a deer while riding his motorcycle on U.S. 2 West.
The accident occurred at about 10:30 a.m. near Thompson River Road. ALERT helicopter transported the man to Kalispell Regional Medical Center, where his condition was critical but stable Thursday evening.
His name and other information about the accident were not available. The Montana Highway Patrol responded to the scene.
At about 10:40 a.m., a motor vehicle accident on Whitefish Stage Road resulted in the West Valley Fire Department transporting a woman to Kalispell Regional Medical Center with a head injury.
According to a hospital spokesman, she was treated and released.
