Kalispell police investigated a fraud perpetrated on a woman who was told she won the Canadian lottery. She was given a bad check for $2,980 from Universal Promotions of Toronto.

Officers were called to Wal-Mart to evict an intoxicated man with a sign on the corner. He approached one vehicle, spilling beer on a customer.

A father on Third Avenue West North reported to police that his son was assaulted and he wanted to sign a complaint.

A woman contacted police at 1:16 a.m. and complained that she had "rolled over the hood of a car." The report of the incident was not available.

Late on Wednesday, police investigated a report from a man that his ex-girlfriend hit his vehicle and left the scene of the accident in a green Chevy Corsica.

Women at TJ Maxx complained to police that a man in a pickup in the parking lot was watching them. He was described as having white hair and a tan hat.

Officers found a vehicle matching the description of an older blue Toyota but it was no longer occupied.

Boys, ages about 12 or 13, were seen vandalizing playground equipment at Peterson School late Wednesday. They were throwing rocks at a slide.

A bar customer at the VFW club on Main Street was knocked unconscious when another customer slapped him on the side of the head. The suspect left the scene in blue '81 Ford pickup.

The 50-year-old victim was taken to Kalispell Regional Medical Center.
