The hunt for fugitive Michael Marvin Dugan, 44, was suspended Saturday by Flathead County Sheriff's Office. Though full-scale search efforts were called off, officers did respond to individual calls of possible sightings.

"We've had several people call today and say they saw him in the Hungry Horse area, possibly hitchhiking, but so far none of the sightings have panned out," said Flathead County Sheriff's Office dispatcher, Craig Montgomery.

Dugan allegedly escaped with Joshua Hansen, 18, from an Oshkosh, Neb., jail in June, where Dugan was being held on a theft charge. Hansen was captured Thursday after a high-speed chase ending in Glacier National Park.

Both men were reported to have been living in Columbia Falls since mid-July.

Friday's search was concentrated in the area of Whitefish Stage Road and Montana 40.
