Leslie Gordon Moody

Leslie (Les) Gordon Moody, of Ellensburg, Wash., (formerly of the Swan Valley, Mont.) died on Friday, Aug. 12, 2005, as a result of an automobile accident near Ellensburg.

Les was born on March 18, 1959, in San Jose, Calif., to James L. and Barbara I. Moody. He moved to the Swan Valley as a child and attended Seeley-Swan High School, graduating in 1977. He worked in the log home industry for a few years during and after high school. He went on to obtain a degree as a building inspector and worked in several locations in Washington. For the past 11 years, he has lived in Ellensburg and worked for the City of Yakima as a building inspector.

Les liked cruising and taking road trips in his convertible. He enjoyed the outdoors and loved hiking in the Bob Marshall Wilderness.

He is preceded in death by his father, James L. Moody.

He is survived by his parents, Barbara I. Roach and her husband, Lee, of Turlock, Calif. and stepmother, Christine Moody of Arnold, Calif. and step-father, Bill Logue of Condon.

He is also survived by his siblings, Ben (Enda) Moody of Eureka, Calif., J. Dean (Annette) Moody of Hardin, Mont. & Barbara (Paul) Grinde of Polson.

He is also survived by nieces, Shelby Moody of Missoula, Jessica (Gregg) Bertelsen of Dickinson, N.D., Kimberly Moody of San Diego, Calif., Erica (BJ) Mazurek of Missoula; and nephew, Christopher Moody of Eureka, Calif., and great nephews Joshua and Jordan Moody of Eureka, Calif. and Trenton Bertelsen of Dickinson, N.D.

A private family memorial service will be held in Turlock, Calif. and a memorial service will be held in Condon at a later date and time to be announced.
