Black rides four winners at Fair

Jockey Nikeela Black was aboard three winners in the first four races Sunday and finished in the winner's circle four times total to conclude the first weekend of Northwest Montana Fair Horse Racing at the Flathead County Fairgrounds.

Black rode Crissy's Cricket to victory in the thoroughbred matron handicap race, nosing out C C Sky Dancer. That was in the sixth race.

Crissy's Cricket is trained by Ron Bronson. The owner and breeder is Lee Ann Literal.

In the other featured race, Shannon Wipper was aboard Dreamoneir, who won the fair handicap race. That horse is trained and owned by Amy Nelson. The breeder is Bonnie Hunter.

Pages of Time won a mixed allowance race for 3-year-olds with Terrence Bird Rattler up.

The betting handle for Sunday's races was $43,287, bringing the three-day total to $129,973.

Racing concludes this weekend, Saturday and Sunday, with the Charlie Russell Derby finals along with the fair handicap and matron handicap events. Post time both days is 1 p.m.
