Flathead County Sheriff

| August 24, 2005 1:00 AM

The Flathead County Sheriff's Office was busy turning down the volume at disagreements across the valley. On Trumbull Canyon Road, a resident complained of her husband's ex-girlfriend yelling at a neighbor. Loud partiers disrupted Murray Lake Campground. Fighting and screaming reported in Hungry Horse turned out to be a woman who backed her vehicle into a fence and was yelling at a dog to get back into the car.

Name-calling and threats were reported on Goat Trail. Another resident reported some women trying to stir up trouble in his marriage on Springcreek Road. On Harmony Road was an inharmonious exchange when a man said he caught someone trying to break into his car; he said the intruder threw him to the ground when confronted.

Deputies are checking on suspected sightings of a man who robbed a Bigfork bank last week, but haven't found him yet. Two people reported a man hitchhiking on Montana 35, but bank robbery was not a problem he was carrying with him.

An ambulance from Bigfork Fire and Medical was needed for a woman on Montana 35 who said her boyfriend hit her. On Flathead Drive, rock-throwing and face-hitting was alleged.

Money was stolen from Pioneer Road. Other items reported stolen were a paddle boat on U.S. 93; sleeping bags, pillows, groceries and prescriptions from a vehicle at Wal-Mart; a police scanner and a vacuum from a home; an ATV on Lost Prairie Road; and 30 trees west of Summit. Items were also taken from a storage unit.

Signs were cut down on Whitefish Hills Drive. A door was kicked in and a home was ransacked while the resident is in jail.
