Kalispell police
The orange murder van is back on Kalispell police logs. There were two complaints about the van on Third Avenue West, where it has been parked for days. It says "murder" on the front and unprintable things are written on the sides. A man who bought it is living inside it, and moving it from parking space to parking space. A parent in the neighborhood doesn't think his children should have to see the vulgar writing.
A witness saw four youths destroy flower boxes at Dee's Upholstery Shop and gave police descriptions of them.
A man sleeping in front of Jensen Jewelers shambled off. A man whose company has been deemed undesirable at City Brew returned anyway.
A woman who was unhappy that someone took her parking space demonstrated her displeasure by blocking the offending vehicle in with hers. That plan of action backfired, because the driver of the interloping vehicle just backed out and hit her car.
Unlocked cars on Birchwood Court were a bounty of treasures for thieves. Items were taken from six vehicles there. Police Chief Frank Garner reminds residents of the splendid simplicity of not leaving valuables in unlocked vehicles.
A car was shelled with eggs on Third Avenue East. Youths on Fourth Avenue West North have been blasting apples with a baseball bat into a neighbor's lawn for the last three days.
Credit cards were stolen from a wallet on North Main Street.
A man said he loaned his 1992 teal Geo Metro (dented, with no bumper) to Vernon (last name unknown), who didn't return it.
Police stopped a vehicle coming into town from Whitefish, where the driver was reported as possibly drunk. It was a sober 92-year-old driver behind wheel.
Chances are quite slim that the man who makes anonymous calls to a woman's cell phone is going to receive the sexual favors he suggests.
