Everett Maki Jr., 50
Everett Maki Jr., 50, beloved son, brother and father, passed away Monday, Aug. 22, 2005, at Kalispell Regional Medical Center in Kalispell.
He was born May 22, 1955, at Cut Bank, the son of Toivo Everett and Rebecca (Hegstad) Maki.
Everett was a warm, generous loving man who was always there for anyone who needed help.
He attended schools in Cut Bank until moving to the Flathead Valley in 1973. He graduated from Columbia Falls High School.
He worked in the oil fields for 10 years. He worked in construction, roofing, insulating, electrical work, yard work, etc.
He and his first wife, Penny Dougherty, had two children, David Maki and Natasha Maki. He remarried 10 years ago to Dawn Smith. She had children Trevor, Ronnie and Stephanie, and grandchildren.
Everett has always been there to help anyone in need. He had a giant heart and was loved by all who knew him.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Dawn Maki, in 2004; his father, Toivo Maki; and two brothers, Victor Lee and baby Maki.
He is survived by his mother, Rebecca Maki, of Kalispell; his children, David Maki, and Natasha Walters and husband, Nathan, all of Casper, Wyo.; sisters, Elaine Holmquist and her husband, Ralph, Jeanne Riley and husband, Bruce, Ella Hill and husband, Mark, and Linda Fielder and husband, Ken, all of Kalispell, and Helga Stimson and husband, Jim, of Helena, Nina Carvajal and husband, Daniel, of American Falls, Idaho, and Marilyn Wilson and Daryl Martinez of Fort Gibson, Okla.; and brothers, Vic Maki of Kalispell, and Jerry Maki of Tacoma, Wash.; also close friend Shannon Peltier.
Memorial services for Everett Maki Jr., will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 27, at Johnson Mortuary Chapel. There will be no visitation.
